“There’s a new party craze and it’s not going anywhere”

Forget the chocolate fountain craze, there’s a new ‘sweet’ theme in town and it looks like it’s here to stay.
Taking the wedding and party industry by storm, the ‘sweet cart’ is the new “must have” accessory to ant wedding or party and is offering guests far more than just a place card at the table.
A cart filled to the brim with all kinds of sweet offers not only an incredibly attractive focal point within a venue, but also offers guests the chance to treat themselves throughout the event – literally.
‘Sweet Divisions’ in Portsmouth, Hampshire says business is booming: “our success has honestly taken me by surprise. We started off with sweet trees, which is going phenomenally well and branched out with our sweet cart. The two compliments each other so well and now we’re getting bookings from weddings, sweet sixteen’s, corporate functions and the latest to catch on is baby showers – honestly it’s mad!” says Sweet Divisions Managing director , Ian Marshall & Sally Bacon.
Themed to any taste or specification the sweet cart and its sister the sweet trees are tailored to the individuals requirements and Ian said the sky's the limit when it comes to people’s imagination: “We’ve done everything from barn style carts to 1950’s themes to football corporate events. When you ask people what they want, you’d be surprised what comes out. It’s our job to bring that to life – with sweets and a lot of determination!
Unlike the chocolate fountain craze which went as quick as it came, the sweet cart and trees seem to have longevity on its side as Ian explains: “ I think the big difference with this is that it can be absolutely tailored in any way whatsoever which means it isn’t a here now, gone tomorrow’ type of fad”.
When it comes to an almost endless supply of sweets, ranging from retro candies like the flying saucer and the white chocolate mouse, to Haribo’s and sweet tree made from dolly mixtures, we can see what the hype is about…. You’ve got our vote!
